Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 cup Chopped onions
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Gradually whisk in the vegetable broth until smooth.
  6. Add the soy sauce, thyme, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 10 minutes.
  7. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve warm.
