Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 block Extra firm tofu pressed and cubed
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger minced
  • ½ teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup Green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions 

  1. 1. Press and cube the tofu.
  2. 2. Toss tofu in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add tofu and cook until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. 4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, maple syrup, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  5. 5. Pour sauce into the wok and bring to a simmer. Add tofu back into the wok and toss to coat in the sauce.
  6. 6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
