- 4 pieces Chicken thighs and drumsticks
Marinade
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon Hot sauce
Coating
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1. In a large bowl, mix buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight in the fridge.
2. In another bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
3. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
4. Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Dredge in flour mixture, pressing to adhere.
5. Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
