Main Ingredients
- 2 large green plantains peeled and sliced into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
- to taste salt
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add the plantain slices to the pan and fry for about 3 minutes on each side, until they are golden.
Remove the plantains from the pan and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Using a flat object, like the bottom of a glass, flatten each plantain slice.
Return the flattened plantains to the pan and fry again for about 2 minutes on each side, until crispy.
Remove from the pan, drain on paper towels, and season with salt to taste.
