  • 4 Portobello mushroom caps
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 4 Whole wheat buns
  • 4 slices Tomato
  • 4 leaves Lettuce

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, dried basil, and garlic powder.
  3. 3. Brush the mixture onto both sides of the portobello mushroom caps.
  4. 4. Grill the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until tender.
  5. 5. Toast the whole wheat buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  6. 6. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a grilled mushroom cap on each bun, followed by a slice of tomato and a leaf of lettuce.
