Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 lb Chicken Breast, cooked and shredded
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese optional, for topping
  • 1 cup Sour Cream optional, for topping

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add shredded chicken, chicken broth, heavy cream, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, topped with shredded cheese and sour cream if desired.
