Horchata Recipe
A refreshing and traditional Mexican drink made from rice, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 4 cups water divided
- 1 stick cinnamon
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups milk
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
In a blender, combine the rice, 2 cups of water, and the cinnamon stick. Blend until the rice and cinnamon are roughly ground.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it sit at room temperature for at least 3 hours, or overnight.
After soaking, blend the mixture again until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.
Add the remaining 2 cups of water, sugar, vanilla extract, and milk to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Serve over ice and enjoy!
