  • 2 cups Yellow Squash, sliced
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and black pepper.
  3. 3. Dip the squash slices in buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture.
  4. 4. Coat the squash slices in cornmeal.
  5. 5. Fry the squash slices in the hot oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. 6. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
