Main Ingredients
- 2 cups Chickpeas (cooked or canned)
- 1 large Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 inch Ginger (grated)
- 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
- 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
- 1 cup Water as needed
- 1 handful Cilantro (chopped) for garnish
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add garlic, ginger, and sauté for another minute.
Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
Add diced tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
Add chickpeas and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Stir in garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
