Main Ingredients
- 4 cups yams, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the yams in a baking dish.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and combined.
Pour the butter mixture over the yams, making sure they are well coated.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the yams are tender and the glaze is bubbly.
Let the yams cool slightly before serving.
