Bahamian Chicken Souse Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs Chicken cut into pieces
- 1 large Onion sliced
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 medium Potatoes peeled and diced
- 2 large Carrots sliced
- 2 tablespoon Lime Juice
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Allspice
- 6 cups Water
1. In a large pot, add the chicken pieces and cover with water. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
2. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, diced potatoes, and sliced carrots to the pot.
3. Season with lime juice, salt, black pepper, and allspice. Stir well.
4. Let the mixture simmer for about 40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
5. Serve hot and enjoy!
